Improving Your Mechanics, Improving Your Court Presence, Improving Your Ability To Manage A Game, Improving Your Ability To Manage the Coach, Improving How You "See" The Game, Improving Your Conditioning.

Your first step in the improvement process is attendance at the MoKanRef.Com Officials Instructional Camp.  MoKanRef will be hosting a 3-day basketball camp for all MoKanRef officials.  Camp dates are April 24 – 26.  This camp will focus on 2 and 3-man mechanics and proper floor coverage for high school and middle school games.  There will be classroom time for Q&A, including discussions about rules, the assignment process, evaluations and expectations.

There is a $85 fee to cover costs associated with gym and classroom usage.  ON-LINE REGISTRATION DEADLINE is February 28, 2009.  Make checks payable to MoKanRef, P.O. Box 2247, Lee's Summit, MO  64063 (Checks MUST be received by March 5).  If paying by money order, please be certain your name is included.

FORMAT
The camp is designed to instruct officials on the finer points of basketball officiating.  We will accomplish our objectives with the use of classroom lectures, court demonstrations, court presentation, and evaluations of the official’s performance through games. This camp is designed to elevate officials to their next level.  It is our goal to offer the knowledge in all areas to enhance your officiating careers. 

Schedules for the weekend will be distributed on Thursday, April 23 at a time and location determined.             . 

What to Bring: Materials for classroom sessions, black and white  referee shirt / whistle, black  shorts or  pants and black referee shoes.
